My Only Two Visits To The Frats: A Study in Contrast

The first time I ever went to the frat houses, I was 18. It was the first weekend they were open of my freshman year and my roommate made me go.

I didn’t have fun. I stood outside awkwardly with a random group of people and talked to this drunk guy who couldn’t figure out how a bike worked.

I left very early.

Tonight was the second time I had ever been to the frat houses. I had a rough day, but it was the annual foam party, and Jack and Sarah insisted that I go, and that I would feel better. I went. We danced around, had fun, and I was kind of getting tired and thinking about leaving when ALL of our friends showed up at the same time. The fun started all over again. My guy friends picked me up and carried me under the bubble stream until I was soaked, we all danced together and messed with each other, I got pulled up on the tables by other friends. We stayed until the Phi Taus chanted their “Get Out” song.

This weekend has been one of the best weekends of my time at Centre and it’s all thanks to the fact that I have literally the best friends. I love all of you <3 :)

In Which I Freak Out And My Boyfriend Fails At Calming Me Down

Okay so I’m freaking out about this 10 page paper for Dramatic Literature and I barely even know what I’m writing about. I’ve been looking through some stuff and I’ve thought about comparing Much Ado About Nothing and Othello. Because if you think about it, they’re both really similar stories with really similar themes, except one is billed as a tragedy and the other as a comedy.

Maybe I could talk about the differences between tragedy and comedy and just how subtle they are through these two plays?

I’m worried. Would that be able to fill 10 pages?

so at centre we have a seal that is on the brick walkway in front of old centre, the original main building
the grads all walk over it when they graduate
if you kiss over it you get married
good luck etc
and i know it is bad and i should feel bad
but saturday night someone pried it up out of the brick
and i think that is hilarious

I feel bad about it, but I think it’s really funny too xD

Very beginning of class:

Professor: So I don’t think I’m gonna keep you for the whole time today.

Another benefit to this schedule is that my two morning classes are in the same building, and my two afternoon classes are in the same building.

But yeah. I need to stop geeking out over my possible schedule and pay attention in philosophy.

Oh man. All of the classes I want/need to take next semester are on Tuesday and Thursday.
If I get all of them I would have a five day weekend.

Dude.
How awesome would that be?

I mean, I would literally be going non-stop all day Tuesday and Thursday, but to have all of that break time to chill and do work and stuff? Amazing.

Now I’m hanging out outside on campus with three of my friends watch people “Run the Flame” which is a ritual where when people strip naked and run around this statue called the flame.

Cheering on naked dudes running around a statue is a lot of fun but also an interesting cultural experience now that I think about it.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

So UK won the National Championship and everyone in this area is a huge fan so I guess I am too?

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Oh Philosophy Class

We’re talking about people splitting into two people and having people split into infinitely many versions of the same person and I don’t even know what’s going on.

I’ve decided that here on out, in Philosophy I will pretend I am in a SciFi movie whenever I am in this class. I feel like it will help me BIG time with understanding it…

There were people outside the math building at my college eating pie and singing “Pi Day Carols”
They were like christmas carols…except they were about pi.
It was pretty epic.

Just made it through my first all-nighter and now I’m in my 8AM class.

Popped the all-nighter cherry!

I’m like a real college student now. It only took what…like a year and a half? XD

So this just happened.
